Cute right?

Isn't this a wonderful rug? It would be great in a room where you didn't have a lot of color on the walls or just wanted something to brighten things up.

What a cute box of tea right? And even better that it's wild berry! Yum!!

Isn't this couch wonderful? I'd have to have totally mellow everything else but I think it would be totally worth it!

Isn't that shelf wonderful!!! I want to see if I can make one!

Isn't this a wonderful coat? Not sure where I would wear it or with what, but I love it either way!

Isn't this wonderful?! I would love this! And it would keep me reading!

My Kitchen: Before and During

I'm so sorry for the delay! Too busy with life I forgot to post about our kitchen! So here is before. Not the worst kitchen ever but very far from the best. The walls don't look that bad in these photos but trust me they were pretty nasty. We had repainted most of the rest of the house and it really was us so all that was left was the kitchen.

We decided to do it on the cheap because I was in school and we won't be in this house for forever. We ended up going with new floors which we hired out, did the paint and back splash ourselves and custom ordered the counter tops which Marshall installed (he also did the sink and faucet! What a man!). I am so totally thrilled with how it all came together but for now here's some progress to tease you with.

After hours of shopping the final picks!

This paint color is a huge improvement but it's very very blue. It may not look that blue in these photos but trust me it was like whale blue. I was so frustrated but I knew I had to go out and get another color. I had already finished all the painting, I was done, but I knew I wouldn't be happy. That's the first and last time I do that! So not fun having to paint twice!  (Also it wouldn't have matched with the other changes so it was a must)

My man, hard at work. You can't tell totally in these pictures but the counter tops are like a stained cement. I'm in love with them!

Stay toned, I'll be posting the finished kitchen soon!

Mask Wall

I've gotten a couple of masks over the last year or so on some travels and I've decided I'm going to put up a mask wall as soon as I have enough. In the mean time I'll just dream about how I want it to look!

Living room, a little less is so much more

So you've seen our living room before and after post, but now we did a little bit more. I wanted a more minimalistic feel going in there. Open and airy. I sold the green couch, and I found some wonderful chairs (below) at the thrift store and recovered them to go with our colors in this room. We then had to switch out the rug (we just took the one that was in the bedroom and put it in the living room and perfection). I'm really happy with how it looks and it relaxes me just looking in this room and seeing less stuff and more of what I want and how I want it. It's minimal but still warm and there are still plants in the room (it was starting to be over run with plants for a bit there) so I'm over all really happy.

Here are the chairs. Aren't they dreamy?
