What It Would Be Like If I Dressed My Husband

Like most wives I gave suggestions to my husband on clothes, shoes, hair and accessories. I think my husband is pretty fashionable on his own but sometimes think of what it would be like if he wore only what I wanted him to, or he let me dress him...so me being a person that has fun with this sort of imagination I decided I would post some photos!!
If he wore suites more....wow!!

I love this one, but I wouldn't make him carry around the saddle, unless he wanted to...

I love these Steampunk Cufflinks, they are so unique and would had a fun flare to a suit! You can find them at www.etsy.com/shop/edmdesigns

I love this coat!!

I would dress him in a lot of jeans but a lot better shoes, and more colorful!

I love this knit scarf! Found at www.etsy.com/shop/WhimWave

I don't love the white pants, but everything else is good!

Not sure he would like the jacket shiny (I don't think I even do) but dressing him up is so much fun!

I love this watch! Marshall isn’t much of a watch guy but I think he’d totally love this! You can get it at www.etsy.com/shop/sippingtea

Everything..minus the nose ring...not on my man...

The v might be a little too deep for him but other then that (and the short shorts) it's great!

I love these boots! You can find these at www.etsy.com/shop/avantanthologue

I don't like the middle one, but he would love it...dressing him would be so much fun!! Maybe I'll show him this and he'll let me try!

Wedding Ideas For My Friend Claire

Claire is a good friend of mine, and my husband is going to be in their wedding. We met Jean & Claire at church and hang out with them often. They’re a fun energetic couple with a lot of drive and passion. They are planning their wedding for this July.

We were talking colors the other day and I tried my hardest to explain my ideas (from the colors she was thinking) but I thought “why not just show her” so here is a post just for her!

Color theme idea #1 (Yellow, Orange, Ivory)

This is the type of fabric I was trying to tell you about the other day. It's sort of classy with a fun fresh edge hey?

I know this isn't ivory, and purple wasn't one of the colors listed but it's an option for another color or accent!
I really like the flowers in this one!

Color theme idea #2 (Chocolate brown, dark teal, Ivory)

This dress is from www.dessy.com The Bay, 7th Ave Fashion & Stella's carries them!

Here's the type of look for the guys I was trying to tell you about. Maybe with a gray or black suit?
If you want to mix the two color ideas this photo above has a lot of great ideas for that, and you could have your chocolate brown chair colors with it too!

This invite above is a great idea if you are wanting to mix the two color themes.

Here's a color board to give you an idea of other colors that looks good together.

Hope this helps!

Baking Blitz: Sucre A Crème & Skor Fruit Dip

For my birthday party my good friend Roxy brought this dip with apples and it was amazing!! It`s sweet but surprisingly light and oh so good, you can`t stop eating it!

Base:
½ cup Cream Cheese
1 tub Cool Whip

Middle Layer:
1 cup 35% Whipping Cream
2 cups Brown Sugar

Top Layer:
3-4 Skor Bars

Base: Beat together 1/3 cup - 1/2 cup of cream cheese and the cool whip (adding cool whip little by little to the cream cheese mixture to avoid lumping). Put in the bottom on a glass dish and put aside.

Middle Layer: Sucre a crème (See post) make it a bit thinker by boiling it longer. When it`s cooled spread over base.

Top layer: Crushed up Skor bars and spread over the top of the dip.

Chill for a couple of hours and enjoy!

Tip: I like it best served with apple slices

Have any good ideas, suggestions or experiences....share them, leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you!!

4th Annual Movie Marathon

My husband and I have a movie marathon every year for Christmas. It’s a tradition we started when we started dating and we’ve done it now for four years.

Throughout the year we write down movies when they come up that we want to see, or old movies that we want to see again. We pick 5-6 movies and spend a whole day watching. This year we upped the excitement a bit and opened a gift each and got a little more serious and had appetizers and Sucre A Crème & Skor Fruit Dip with apples (I’ll be posting that recipe soon!).

So I figured I would share our picks, and some great options for holidays appetizers

We watched this one last year too, and Marshall really liked it. I liked it but really didn’t feel like watching it again so Marshall (because he usually wakes up earlier then me either when we sleep in) watched it first thing without me, which I was totally ok with.

Marshall loves animated movies and cars, so there really was no fighting this one. www.pixar.com/featurefilms/cars

We saw the Broadway show of this and loved it! www.lesmis.com Marshall hasn’t even seen the movie so it was a “must” for the list this year, and I had forgotten how good it is!!

I was told this movie was super funny, but honesty, I didn’t find it that funny. I don’t see kids beating up adults and vice versa really funny (I know, I’m taking a joke too seriously, but I really don’t like the message of it you know?) www.fourchristmasesmovie.com

Can’t say I loved this movie, it moved sort of slow to me and it was gory in a mean sort of way, but I guess that was the point?

I didn’t realize that this movie was more like a documentary but I still really liked it and I would highly recommend the sound track! www.oncesoundtrack.com

And of course the appetizers!! We got then all from Superstore. Normally I’m not one for frozen appetizers, I find they can be a little sketchy, but these were really good! www.pc.ca

What If Our Houses Were Really Made Of Gingerbread?

Every year my family makes a gingerbread house. When we were in Califorinia one year we couldn’t find a house kit so we made a tree! It was still pretty cool.

I just recently learnt that the white house has a tradition of doing a gingerbread house each year, so I thought I would include one of those!

This year we are going to make a train...not sure how well we will do. (I think this might even be the one my mom bought!)

This is the house we made last year...not the best every but we’re working our way up, better and better each year.

For those of you that were really curious what it would be like if our houses were readying made of gingerbread this was the closest example I could find.

AND if you really love gingerbread get yourself one of these candles and you’ll have the wonderful spiced smell for hours!! You can find this at www.etsy.com/shop/blisscandles
